Werner Meier has more than 20 years of experience in business development, management consulting, and recognized expertise in evaluation and performance measurement. He has worked extensively with federal government departments and international agencies and organizations in the foreign affairs and international trade and development fields.

He has a Masters degree in Education with a concentration on measurement and evaluation from the University of Ottawa, has been a Certified Management Consultant since 2009 and a Credentialed Evaluator since 2011. He is an advocate of the use of computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software for conducting evaluations to ensure that the findings and conclusions drawn from the data are demonstrably evidence-based. He has been a presenter at annual conferences of the Canadian Evaluation Society and is a sought-after speaker and workshop facilitator on implementing results-based management and performance measurement strategies in public sector organizations in Canada and internationally.

Werner divides his time between Science-Metrix' offices in Ottawa and Montreal. He has been mandated to expand the company’s current evaluation services to federal government clients, the European Commission and philanthropic foundations. In 2015, he established the Science-Metrix Ottawa Office, which allows him to maintain close relations with our federal government clients and to respond personally and rapidly to project-related enquiries.
