Science-Metrix is proud to support conferences and events that provide opportunities for community- and capacity-building in bibliometrics, evaluation, and science and technology policy. Science-Metrix recently sponsored two such events, one in Canada and one in the US.
Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) Conference
From May 2nd to 5th, Science-Metrix was a supporting partner of the 2011 CES/CESEF Student Case Competition and silver sponsor of the 2011 Annual CES Conference. During this conference, Frédéric Bertrand (Vice-President, Evaluation) and Michelle Picard-Aitken (Senior Evaluation Analyst) presented the following papers:
Picard-Aitken M., Goodyer M. and Archambault E. (2011)

American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)
The following week, Science-Metrix sponsored the AAAS Forum on Science & Technology Policy in Washington DC (May 5-6, 2011).
Science-Metrix also had the pleasure of meeting science policy-makers, communicators and researchers at the Annual Meeting of the AAAS in Washington DC (Feb. 17-21, 2011). The Science-Metrix booth in the Exhibit Hall attracted much attention, as attendees came by to chat about our bibliometric and evaluation services and to discuss the recent release of the Ontology of Science and a map illustrating scientific collaborations between researchers from across the globe.
